What we’ve been building, and where it’s heading in 2026

January 02, 20263 min read

As the year draws to a close, I want to say a BIG thank you for being here.

Whether you’ve read every newsletter or dipped in when something resonated, your presence has mattered more than you might realise. This space has never been about volume or noise. It’s been about connection, reflection, and staying human in the middle of work, change, and leadership that often asks a lot of us.

This year has been a meaningful one for me.

Not because everything was clear or easy (it wasn’t), but because it asked me to build something honest, slowly, and with intention. Touching Distance has grown as a place where people can think properly, feel what’s actually going on, and make decisions that are more aligned with who they are becoming.

And you’ve been a big part of that.

What I’ve Noticed This Year

Across conversations, coaching sessions, workshops, and messages, I keep hearing similar themes:

People are capable, experienced, and deeply values-driven.
And they’re also tired of pretending things are simpler than they are.

Many of you are holding questions about work, identity, direction, and impact that don’t fit neatly into a job description or a five-step plan. You want spaces where you can speak honestly, be challenged thoughtfully, and not have to perform certainty.

That’s what this newsletter has been trying to offer, and the journey we've been on together in sessions.
And it’s what I want to build more of in the year ahead.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As I step into the new year, I’m committing to staying with the edge of discomfort, because that’s where I’ve seen real growth and possibility emerge.

My focus is on creating spaces where you feel supported enough to do the same.

One important part of that is deepening work in shared spaces. I love team and one-to-one coaching and will continue it. And I’m also seeing, again and again, how powerful group spaces can be. Many people gain clarity faster when they can hear themselves think out loud, learn from others, and realise they’re not alone in what they’re navigating.

It’s also why I’m excited to share something new.

Introducing Purposeful Futures

In 2026, I’ll be building more intentionally in partnership with Agnieszka Pociecha.

Together, we’ve created Purposeful Futures, a space for people who care about meaningful work, values-led leadership, and shaping careers that don’t require leaving themselves behind.

This won’t be about hustle or reinvention for the sake of it. It’s about asking better questions, widening perspective, and making thoughtful choices about what comes next.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

An Invitation Into the New Year

As we move into 2026, my invitation to you is gentle:

You don’t need to rush.
You don’t need to have everything figured out.
You do deserve spaces that help you think clearly, stay connected to your values, and move forward with integrity.

If you choose to stay connected through this newsletter, through Purposeful Futures, Talent Bridge Workshop series or simply through quiet reflection sparked by something you read here, I’m grateful.

Thank you for walking this far with me.
I’m looking forward to what we’ll explore next, together.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

With you,Linda
